Budget Communication
The state is currently facing a $3.7 billion shortfall for the 2011-12 fiscal year and the Office of State Budget and Management has asked all governmental agencies to identify budget cuts at both the 5% and 10% level to cover that shortfall. As communication professionals, it is critical that you stay up to date on these issues in order to help your school district communicate broadly how devastating these cuts would be to public education.
NCSPRA will use this webpage to post information on a periodic basis to assist in keeping you up to date on the communication efforts taking place around the State. Check back often as more information will be posted.
